Lauren and Hunter’s Spring wedding day in Gulfport, MS, was a celebration filled with joy, love, and the essence of coastal beauty. From the moment I arrived at the groom’s family home where they were getting ready, I could feel the excitement and warmth that surrounded this incredible couple. As a Haleigh Kirkland Photography couple, Lauren and Hunter were everything I could hope for: joyful, sweet, family-oriented, and fully trusting of my vision to capture their special day.
The Beginning: A Love Story
Lauren and Hunter’s love story began during their freshman year at the University of Alabama. They met in the second month of their first year and quickly became inseparable. Over the next six years, their relationship blossomed, shaped by countless experiences and the support of friends and family. Their wedding was a testament to these years together, incorporating elements and people who have been pivotal in their journey.
The Wedding Day Vibe
Spring in Gulfport provided the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Hunter’s coastal, blue, and airy wedding. The bright, sunny day matched the joyful atmosphere as friends and family gathered to celebrate. The ceremony at Trinity Methodist Church was filled with heartfelt moments. Meanwhile the reception at Bayou Bluff Tennis Club was a visual delight with its stunning decor.
The wedding party looked absolutely elegant. The men donned classic black tuxes, while the ladies were radiant in light blue gowns. The color palette of light blues, greens, and whites was beautifully reflected in every detail, adding to the airy and coastal vibe of the day.
Special Moments
A particularly memorable moment was the couple’s first look in the garden of the groom’s family home. The intimate setting was perfect for capturing their genuine emotions as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Following this sweet moment, we strolled around the property for more beautiful photo opportunities, creating lasting memories.
One of the standout features of the day was the reception space at Bayou Bluff Tennis Club. The blue and white checkered dance floor was a unique and eye-catching touch, perfectly complementing the floral-lined stage for the band. It was a picturesque setting for the evening’s fun celebration.
