There’s just something about a sweet engagement session in historic downtown Covington, Louisiana that just takes my breath away. Nestled on the Northshore, just about 45 minutes north of New Orleans, is an idyllic town that overflows with charm. From quaint gazebos, to hidden parks, to walls of greenery, there are so many romantic locations to photograph!
When Jennifer and Austin suggested taking their engagement photos here, I jumped at the chance! And it’s even better when the weather cooperates and the sun grants us it’s lovely, golden glow. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Spring day!
This sweet couple started out their session in formal attire, dressing to perfection! If you’re ever in doubt about what to wear to a session, you can never go wrong with classic white. Have the groom-to-be to add in a blazer and you’ve got a perfect formal look!
After basking in the golden glow of the sun at the park, the couple changed into a more casual date night look. This is when the term “golden hour” really took effect and gave us a show! Jennifer and Austin had a blast strolling down the lane hand in hand and jumping on for a piggyback ride. These two were so much fun!
I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding at the stunning Vintage Court venue in Covington, Louisiana in April 2022. If the engagement session is any indiction, I know we are going to have the time of our lives on wedding day! It’ll be here before we know it!
