Writing your first blog post as a Mississippi wedding photographer is weird. It’s awkward. It’s like the first day of a new school all over again. You don’t know if you’ll make friends or if you might say something odd that turns people away (let’s hope that’s not the case!).
Blog posts are personal, and what better way to start off the Haleigh Kirkland Photography blog than by introducing you to me – Haleigh Kirkland.
You might have gotten to know me a little bit in my “about me” section. But for those of you haven’t had the opportunity yet here are a few quick, fun facts!
I am a Louisiana and Mississippi wedding photographer that lives outside of Hammond, Louisiana with my husband, Nick, and our two dogs. Moxie is our almost 7 year old chill rescue doggie. Luna is the 3 and a half month old super-hyper black lab pup.
More About This Mississippi & Louisiana Wedding Photographer
My husband and I love watching new shows together from start to finish. A few of our favorites include The Office, Parks and Rec, Stranger Things, and Brooklyn 99. Two of my personal all time favorites include Boy Meets World and Once Upon a Time. We also love going to the movies, especially when a new Disney or Marvel movie comes out (his favorite character is Iron Man, mine is Thor).
Speaking of Disney, my absolute favorite place to visit is Walt Disney World. I have been blessed to travel there on numerous occasions and I had the opportunity to work as a PhotoPass Photographer at Animal Kingdom for a semester in college. I loved being able to make magic for people! If you start talking Disney to me just be prepared for a long, fangirling conversation. I may be an introvert but when I meet another Disney fan, I turn into a mouse ear wearing maniac!
A few other things about me include:
- I strive to serve the Lord in all I do. I would be no where without God in my life
- In December 2015 I graduated from Mississippi State University where I love ringing my cowbell for my Bulldog football team
- There may or may not be an addiction to sweets – especially wedding cake!
