I truly do not have enough words to describe how wonderful this coastal Bay Saint Louis engagement session was! Picture the most perfect evening with the temperatures in the 70s, a nice salty breeze flowing through the air, and a spectacular sunset. If you were able to see that, then you’ve got Kara and Garrett’s engagement session!
Living in the South, you have to be prepared for anything when it comes to weather. We’ve experienced everything from tornados, to hurricanes, and even a snow storm or two. In the case of Kara and Garrett, their original engagement session plan was washed away by Hurricane Ida.
We had a wonderful plan of an evening in early September at the always gorgeous Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, Louisiana. Kara was inspired by the idea of having water incorporated into their session. When she saw a few previous sessions I had taken at the park with the water, she fell in love.
Then Hurricane Ida came and the park received major damage. Since our original plans would no longer work, we started to brainstorm. We quickly moved their engagement session to the quaint little town of Bay Saint Louis, MS. This charming place was full of photo opportunities! From the pier and marina, to the sand and dunes of the beach, the options were endless!
We had so much fun together, along with their adorable dog Reese! I believe that we could not have asked for a more perfect evening with one of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever photographed! Kara and Garrett will wed next Spring in Florida. I truly wish them the most perfect wedding day and a lifetime of happiness together!
