There’s something special about getting to photograph a couple that feels like old friends! This is exactly the amazing situation I found myself a part of back in April. As a Hammond wedding photographer, I loved every single minute of this sweet couple’s special day!
I first met Nancy and Wade last March at a wedding I photographed at Benedict’s in Mandeville, Louisiana. The wedding was for Nancy’s best friend and Wade’s sister – Chelsea. I loved hearing the story of how these two fell in love through their connection with this sweet woman. Through these events, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these couple’s many times throughout the last year and it’s always a blast!!
Nancy and Wade were wed at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, Louisiana. This beautiful little white chapel was the perfect location for their “I Do’s”. After the ceremony, we basked in the gorgeous sunset for all of their portraits. I love it when couple’s take the time to schedule an adequate amount of time for portraits, even when they don’t do a first look! Because they trusted me and the timing, these two got plenty of amazing images together to reminisce over for years to come.
After their portrait session, we traveled to The Oaks Wedding & Event Center in Ponchatoula, Louisiana for their reception. I love shooting at this venue! It’s got such a clean and elegant look. It was there perfect location for them to party the night away!
As a Hammond wedding photographer, I loved getting to capture these special moments for two amazing people! I truly wish them the greatest happiness as they begin the best journey of marriage together. Congratulations Nancy and Wade!
