Elizabeth & Andy’s lush pink floral Louisiana wedding was an absolute dream come true for this Covington wedding photographer!! It makes me so happy and honored as a wedding photographer when another vendor trusts me to capture their special day. And that’s exactly what happened on this Spring day!
The bride Elizabeth (or Bess as she’s affectionately known) is a talented florist for Delphine Floral Design, which she co-owns with her sister. I knew from the start that his wedding day was going to be something magical. It was a glorious pink overlaid in every type of bloom you could imagine!
We started the day off getting the bride and groom ready for their big day. Elizabeth and her maids got glam in her parents home where the reception would later take place. Andy and the guys suited up at his parents home in Mandeville close to the church. The rain might have came down most of the day, but that didn’t stop this pair from lighting up the day with their smiles!
The Mandeville Louisiana Wedding
The ceremony happened at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mandeville, Louisiana. Following the traditional Catholic Mass, the couple had a reverent ceremony that brought them together as one in front of their closest family and friends. At the end of the ceremony, another wild thunderstorm rolled through! But that was okay because we were able to capture sweet bride and groom portraits inside the church.
Ready to head back to the bride’s family home, the entire wedding party quickly loaded the bus through raindrops. While the reception started their cocktail hour, we set up our lights for outdoor portraits – thankful that the rain had finally stopped. We took wedding party and family photos in the spot where every sister before Bess had for their wedding. Long lasting traditions like this make a wedding day so special!
This reception was one of the most fun I have ever attended! The Motown band was phenomenal and perfect for getting everyone out on the dance floor. Before sending them off to their bubble and sparkler exit, Elizabeth & Andy shared a private last dance. Even through the rain, this wedding day was one of the prettiest I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of. Congratulations to the happy couple!!
