Talk about dreamy light! This LSU Botanical Gardens engagement session had some of the most romantic light I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! And not to mention one of the sweetest in love couples as well. This Baton Rouge engagement session was most certainly one to remember.
The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens are quaintly nestled inside the bustling city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have never photographed at this location before so I was shocked to find out that this picturesque location was only a few miles from the bustling traffic of the big city. The area features an expansive array of woodlands, fields, and seasonal florals!
During my time spent with Meaghan and Ben, we were so pleased to find out the seasonal flowers during our visit – sunflowers and roses! These pops of yellow, pink, and red only added to the romantic images we created. The dreamy sunlight peeked through the trees as this adorable couple twirled and walked down tree-lined roads.
One side note: Since it was mid-June, the sun can be both your best friend and your enemy. Dreamy light is key for light and airy photographs but also be sure to take frequent breaks to cool off and drink water. We did this while traveling throughout the LSU Botanical Gardens and it helped keep everyone fresh and happy!
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening in Baton Rouge. Dreamy light, an adorable couple, and fresh florals – this engagement session checked all the boxes! And I can’t wait to share more images from Meaghan and Ben’s early July wedding day soon!
