In Covington, Louisiana nothing is classier than an elegant wedding day at The Southern Hotel. This historic hotel is the perfect location for any bride and groom. The stunning suites are an ideal getting ready location; the outdoor courtyard and ballrooms perfect for intimate gatherings or an all out reception!
Ayshe and Nathan’s wedding color palate was mauve, ivory, grey, and eucalyptus. The look of light and natural colors gave an overall romantic and elegant summer atmosphere. There were flowers everywhere with touches of gold in the details, thanks to the amazingly talented Delphine Floral Design. The bridesmaids wore a mauve color dress with unique designs, while the groomsmen wore a light grey tux with ivory bowties. It was truly a summer soiree, all coordinated perfectly by the Girls in Black!
The Summer Wedding Day
The couple started their wedding day off in spacious suites, divided by a long and sun drenched hallway. These suites had beautiful natural light that only highlighted the events of the morning. After everyone had gotten ready, it was time for the sweet couple’s first look in the window lit hallway. This moment was so incredibly sweet and intimate. In the lush garden of the hotel, we captured the wedding party photographs, as well as some intimate bride and groom pictures.
We wrapped up portraits and then traveled by bus over to Saint Peter Catholic Church in Covington for the ceremony. It was a touching ceremony, filled with readings and songs from family and friends. There’s something special about two being joined as one in front of God and those closest. I’m so happy that we were able to make time for golden hour/just married portraits because they are some of my favorite! Nothing beats the glow of that just married feeling!!
This classy couple wanted their wedding day to be an absolute celebration, filled with loved ones. We traveled back to The Southern Hotel for an all-out wedding day party! Nathan and Ayshe couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Congrats to the happy couple!
