As a St Francisville and Baton Rouge wedding photographer, I just adore a sweet summer wedding in the South! In July, Meaghan and Ben had the most beautiful wedding day set in both the capital city of Louisiana and the charming city of St Francisville. Having met them a few weeks prior in June for their engagements (see the dreamy images here), I could tell how in love they were and that it was going to be a beautiful wedding day no matter the heat outdoors!
This sweet couple held their getting ready preparations at The Cook Hotel at LSU in Baton Rouge. This was a stunning space for all of their pre-ceremony photos. We accomplished detail, getting ready, and separate wedding party portraits before heading out to the ceremony location.
The wedding was at the most charming chapel in St Francisville, Louisiana! Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the cutest location for a wedding day. Meaghan mentioned that she had always wanted to get married in a little white chapel. On that July day her dream came true!
The two said their vows in an intimate ceremony. Then we quickly whisked the couple outside to catch the last bit of sunlight for their portraits. Since they had taken engagements with me a few weeks prior, they knew what to expect. So we achieved a wide variety of portraits in a short amount of time!
Afterwards, everyone headed back to the LSU campus for the reception. Finally it was time to celebrate at The Club at Union Square! This gorgeous location was the perfect space for a party! The couple was all smiles as they celebrate with their family and friends. We ended the night with a sparkler exit to send the couple off!
Capturing the special moments for Meaghan and Ben was a dream for me as a Baton Rouge wedding photographer! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
