Wow, wow, wow! Brittany and Seth’s wedding in Franklinton, Louisiana sure started off my 2021 wedding season with a bang! From start to finish this day was absolutely magical and perfect in every way possible.
January 16, 2021 was a beautiful day with golden sunlight and nice, cool weather for a normally chilly winter day. The couple and their wedding party started out at a local AirBnB for their getting ready portion of the day.
This cute and quaint little cottage located in Abita Springs, LA was the perfect choice for getting ready! Not only was it adorable but it also had great natural indoor lighting! This is super important for those can’t miss getting ready shots.
The Wedding
After all of the finishing touches were ready, we all drove over to Riverbend Campground in Franklinton, Louisiana for the ceremony and reception. This place is a hidden gem! Nestled deep in the woods lies a charming campground with a covered reception area and a ceremony set up below glowing string lights. The fireplace at the front is the focal point (until the loving bride and groom appear, that is).
The colors of the evening were burgundy, navy blue, gold, ivory & blush. This color palette definitely set up for a romantic evening! Not only was the color scheme romantic, but the sun also decided to play along and give off a beautiful golden hour glow just in time for bride and groom portraits.
Brittany had mentioned to me ahead of time that having a good variety of bride and groom portraits was the most important part of wedding photography for them. This is something that every wedding photographer loves to hear!
I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a wedding photographer who can give you an amazing variety of portraits, even in a short amount of time. This is the part of the day that you will have displayed on the walls of your home forever. Make sure that you set aside plenty of time for this key piece of the day!
We ended the day with dancing and a stunning sparkler send off. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day together! Congrats newlyweds!
