As a Louisiana wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to explore so many beautiful and elegant wedding venues here in South Louisiana. Here are a few of my favorites to consider for your wedding celebration!
Nottoway Resort
When it comes to pure elegance, Nottoway Resort tops the list! Located in White Castle, Louisiana, it is a AAA Four-Diamond property, home to one of the South’s largest historic mansions. There are plenty of options at this venue to make any wedding day special. You can choose to have your ceremony in the front lawn with the sprawling white estate as your backdrop. Equally as exquisite, the Pinterest worthy White Ballroom is a favorite here for portraits or small ceremonies (and you can clearly see why below). For your reception, consider their stunning Grand Pavillion. This is a dramatic covered, open-air alternative (heated & air conditioned) that can be dressed as simply or as elaborately as your imagination allows. It shares a courtyard with the Randolph’s Ballroom, which allows the two spaces to be easily configured into one dazzling venue!

Capitol Park Museum
Looking for a modern, contemporary setting for your wedding day? Try the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rogue, Louisiana. The elegant Plaza is a fully covered outdoor space ideal for a magical wedding reception, set against green lawns and a quiet reflecting pool. The indoor options allow for a beautiful, natural lit setting for your wedding cake too. Furthermore, this unique space has dazzling views of the State Capitol! The Museum is nestle against the State Capitol Park, which is the perfect location for all of your wedding portraits.

The White Magnolia
Going for an elegant, country vibe? Be sure to consider The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana! This venue provides a mix of vintage charm and southern style. The upstairs bride and groom suites are the perfect space to get ready on the big day. Meanwhile the outside is elegantly landscape which makes it perfect for portraits. Be sure to keep an eye out for new additions to this amazing venue! Because coming Fall 2022 will be a charming open-air chapel that captures the best of both indoor charm and the beauty of the rolling hill countryside!

The Southern Hotel
If a quaint and charming boutique is more your style, look no further than The Southern Hotel in Covington, Louisiana. The featured courtyard is both intimate and spacious. This makes it perfect for smaller ceremonies or a fun reception. Meanwhile, the Camilla Sunroom and Ballroom are connected to the courtyard. This allows for an easy flow to multiple spaces. Sprawling sunlit hallways, unique stairways, and secret gardens make this the perfect location for a Northshore wedding.

Vintage Court
Also located in Covington is the exquisite Vintage Court venue. Formerly, this dazzling space was a Catholic Church and recently renovated into the venue it is today. With ancient oak trees and lavish gardens, the organic feel to this place is ethereal. Unquestionably, the highlight of Vintage court is the sprawling oak tree in the side courtyard, which is the perfect spot for a first look or intimate ceremony.

Louisiana Wedding Photographer Honorable Mentions
There are a few other venues that I would love to add to this list that I’ve never shot at before! Honorable mentions go out to some of my dream venues: Milicevic Farm & Vineyard (Abita Springs), Country Club of Louisiana (Baton Rouge), The Gilmour (Baton Rogue), Maison Lafitte (Mandeville), The Greystone (Mandeville), and Strawberry Manor (Ponchatoula).
