It’s no secret – I love a good, Southern Mandeville engagement session. When you’ve got a beautiful backdrop like the dreamy Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, Louisiana, what’s not to love? The park’s sprawling property boasts many large trees dazzling with Spanish moss. The beautiful beach shoreline along the waters of Lake Ponchartrain also give a coastal vibe to any session.
Erin and Jaylan are both from Mississippi. When they suggested traveling down here to Mandeville, Louisiana for their destination engagement session, I was thrilled to show them the beauty in the area! We started out our evening amongst the Spanish moss – walking and twirling along the way.
We even explored areas of the park that I had never seen before! Having a longer engagement session really gives you time to explore and find new places without feeling rushed. You can take your time, relax, and enjoy every minute of our extended session together!
One of my favorite parts of the evening, besides meeting this super awesome couple, was meeting their dog Darcy. I am a HUGE dog person! If you ask me about my own dogs I will definitely give you plenty of silly stories along with pictures of my two fur babies (so just be prepared!). Darcy was a sweet king cavalier spaniel who loved to explore. She did great for her photos and I loved having her be a part of this once in a lifetime moment.
Erin and Jaylan are getting married in late May at the Fairview Inn in Jackson, Mississippi. I cannot wait to capture their special day at this gorgeous venue. Congrats to this sweet future husband and wife!
