I seriously believe that this place is one of Louisiana’s best kept secrets for portraits! Rosedown Plantation in St Francisville, Louisiana is such a gorgeous location for your engagement or bridal session.
So when I suggested this beautiful location to Brittany for her bridal session, she was all on board!
This historic site has more photo opportunities than you can even begin to imagine! From the formal gardens and gazebos, to the statues and greenhouse, this quaint location is blossoming in beauty. But the most breathtaking part of the tour is the rolling driveway that leads up to the main house. The trees lining the road are drenched in Spanish moss and catch the golden rays of the sun.
The sun showed up and showed out at Brittany’s bridal session! It highlighted her natural beauty and gave her a glow that every bride should have. We had a blast at this bridal session! She twirled and giggled and looked so radiant in her sparkling dress.
But the showstopper (besides the gorgeous bride herself) was definitely Brittany’s bouquet! The massive blooms only added to the fairytale aesthetic and there’s no doubt it made her look even more like a true princess.
Just a quick tip for all future brides – When you are pressed for time, it’s good to have a photographer who knows how to pose! Even in thirty minutes I can get a variety of portraits that are natural and help you to feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera.
